What if I need help with my studies?
You'll have unlimited access to the forums where you'll have a wealth of information at your fingertips. You'll also have a tutor available 365 days a year. Students are replied to personally within 6 hours, so you're never far from a helping hand.
As well as your own personal tutor, you’ll have access to specially trained classroom assistants and thousands of study buddies, via your private dashboard.
Will I be a registered art therapist when I finish my course?
No, but that doesn't stop you from being able to use arts therapy techniques when supporting other people.
We have students from all over the world who are now running support groups, facilitating art and using the tools and techniques taught throughout our courses. These include not only art therapists and counsellors, but also social workers, teachers, youth workers, mental health charities, prisons and rehab centres.
What equipment/materials do I need?
You only need an internet connection to get started and a few basic art supplies such as pencils and paper.
There really isn’t any need to invest in any expensive art equipment to get the full benefit of the courses.
Can I study via a mobile or tablet?
Yes, all of our courses are compatible with handheld mobile devices as well as desktop computers and laptops. This means you can take your learning with you wherever you are.
What're the benefits of taking an accredited course?
All of our courses are fully accredited with the CPD Standards Agency, a globally recognised professional body.
This means you can rest assured that you’re learning through a licensed training provider that has been rigorously vetted to ensure that the course material meets an exacting standard and quality.
What is the sharing gallery?
This is an exclusive space that has been created specifically for students to be able to share, encourage and support one another in their therapeutic art journeys.
It is a private group that is password protected and closed to anyone outside of being a student of the course.
This means that our members are afforded a safe place where they can express themselves and share their artwork from the lessons.
The groups are managed by a dedicated team of classroom assistants who ensure that everyone is adhering to a code of conduct, conducive to the spirit of learning with us.
We encourage all members to be respectful and supportive of one another and to accept and celebrate our differences.
We want every single person to feel valid without fear of judgement or being subject to negative or critical comments.
Our entire community has worked so very hard to create a nurturing and supportive environment, and by joining, we hope you too will continue to protect this very special space.
Do I have to be good at art?
Not at all. In fact, many of our students have never done anything arty since leaving school, and for some students, this is forty plus years!
You don't need any experience whatsoever. Every single one of us has the capacity to make art, even if you believe yourself not be particularly creative.
The focus of our courses is very much on the therapeutic journey rather than the end result where people can have a natural tendency to be judgemental of their artwork. Creating in this way, helps us to be more accepting of ourselves and silence our inner critic.
What is your refund policy?
We know you'll love learning with us, but we also want you to feel completely confident when purchasing a course. That’s why we offer a full 30-day money back guarantee if for whatever reason you’re not 100% happy.
